Teacher

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Elementary Teacher to join our Darul Islah team. The candidate will cultivate a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment where students can thrive academically and socially. You will teach core subjects—including reading, math, science, and social studies while implementing individualized instruction to meet diverse learning needs. 

Responsibilities:

    • Instruction & Planning: Develop and execute lesson plans that adhere to State of NJ and Darul Islah standards.

       

    • Classroom Management: Establish a positive, supportive, and safe learning environment, setting clear routines and fostering positive behavior.

       

    • Assessment & Differentiation: Evaluate student progress through formative and summative assessments, differentiating instruction to support diverse learning styles and abilities.

       

    • Communication: Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress, and collaborate with other staff members to improve student outcomes.

       

    • Supervision: Monitor students in and out of the classroom, including lunch, recess, or assembly duties and dismissal.

       

    • Professionalism: Participate in meetings, professional development workshops, and school-wide events. 

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Education preferred
    • Valid State Teaching Certification preferred (Elementary Education K-5/6).
    • Proven experience working with children (e.g., student teaching, classroom experience).
    • Strong knowledge of child development and effective teaching methodologies.
    • Proficiency in using technology for instruction. 

Preferred Skills:

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Fluent in the English Language
    • Highly organized with strong classroom management skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment

Schedule:

    • Mondays – Fridays from 11:30am to 4:00pm
