Darul Islah is pleased to offer an excellent full-time Hifz-ul-Quran program combined with academics for students in grades 3 through 8. The Hifz Academy is designed to provide students—and their families—the invaluable opportunity to complete the memorization of the Holy Quran.

Weekly Schedule

Ramadan Timings: 9:45am to 2:30pm

Monday – Friday: 7:30am to 3:30pm

Hifz Session: 7:30am to 12:00pm

Lunch: 12:00pm to 12:30pm

Academic Session: 12:30pm to 3:30pm

Students also get two 15-minute breaks, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

Shaykh Waleed Elbatrawish

Shaykh Waleed Elbatrawish is one of our dedicated Imams at Darul Islah in New Jersey and serves as the Director of Hifz Academy at Darul Islah. He graduated from Al-Azhar Alshareef in Egypt and holds several Ijazahs in the seven Qira’at.

He’s well-known as one of the leading Quran judges in the USA and has shared his beautiful recitation internationally on radio and TV. Shaykh Waleed has spoken at the United Nations and regularly visits different masjids across the country as a guest speaker. He also serves the community as a Muslim chaplain in hospitals and prisons, offering spiritual care and support.

Hafiz Kashif Aslam

Hafiz Kashif has been a hifz teacher in Darul Islah Evening School for many years.  Under his stewardship, many students have completed Hifz including some of the huffaz who are leading taraweeh in Darul Islah. He has been a teacher at Darul Islah for over 20 years and has been an instrumental part of our community.
 

Hafiz Imam Saeed Qureshi

Hafiz Imam Saeed Qureshi memorized The Holy Quran & obtained Sanad in Tajweed in his early age. He graduated from the University of Peshawar with Arabic & Islamic Studies. He also studied Shariah & Law in international Islamic University, Islamabad. He practiced law for a few years then served as a lecturer in Government Graduate College before moving to USA. He has been the Imam of Darul Islah for over 20 years and has been an instrumental part of the Muslim community in Bergen County and the state of New Jersey.

 

Sr. Sherin Hedya

Sr. Sherin has an Ijazah in the Reading, Tajweed and Memorization of the Holy Quran. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education and Household Economic Management from Al-Azhar University, Egypt. She has 15+ years of Teaching experience in Quran and Arabic studies. Memorized Quran during her secondary school. Certificates in Tarbiya Approach, Quranic Studies, Successful Teaching & Excellence on outstanding achievements in Quran.
