Alhamdulillah, we have kicked off the phase 2 of the Expansion Project today.
We invited bids for interior partition work on 4/7/12. After evaluating and interviewing five bidders, we decided to award the contract to MBK Construction, LLC at a final negotiated price of $186,500.
The interior partition work will be completed in conjunction with the roughening work of HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical. We had contractors on-board for electrical and plumbing, and are working on two alternatives for HVAC.
As per the planned schedule we will start the interior framing on 5/7/12. The Plumbing and Electrical work will begin in a short while and insha-allah after the township inspection the work on insulation, drywall, ceiling work etc will continue.
Insha-allah, we expect to complete this phase by Ramadan…..
The Masjid Expansion needs your prayers and support. We are truly grateful to the magnanimous fund raising response from the community to support the expansion. On a very positive note, some of our sisters have taken a lead and held private meetings to raise upwards of $20k in the last two weeks. We are looking forward to your continued support. Please continue to donate generously.

Brothers and sisters assalam-u-alaikum!
As we are approaching the end of year 2011, we at Darul Islah look back and taste the memories of all the beautiful events, all the warm teachings in our classrooms, be it Sunday School, after hours school or Saturday School, Sunday Fajr programs,Community dinners, youth meetings, Juma khutbas, community fundraisers and campaigns, we feel very lucky to be part of this Darul Islah community, masjid and brotherhood.
However, at this juncture of history, Darul Islah, more than ever needs your charitable donations towards the day to day operations of this masjid. Plus, as you may have witnessed, Darul Islah has taken a mammoth and humongous task of expansion of our masjid, which will satisfy all the space constraints of Juma, events and classrooms.
As you know, Darul Islah is a non-profit institution, and donations are 100% tax deductible. I urge you to donate your funds towards masjid operational budget and Masjid expansion, and take credit for tax exemption for year 2011.
See you at the masjid as always, and have a very happy 2012.
wassalam
Asalamu alaikum,
This Ramadan we ask you to donate to MAS Youth Give Project CommUNITY 2011. In the past, Project CommUNITY has helped over 300 families all over New Jersey.
Project CommUNITY works with local masjids in North Jersey to deliver food baskets to needy Muslim families. The baskets contain food help the families through the month of Ramadan. Last year the effort raised over $14,000 dollars and reached over 100 families.
This year, with YOUR generosity, we hope to raise even more money and reach more families! Your donation of $150 will help one family to have roughly a month’s supply of necessities such as rice, olive oil, dates, and vouchers for local Muslim meat vendors. You are free to donate any amount that you can afford to, no dollar will go unappreciated. InshAllah, may all our efforts be rewarded.
There are several ways to donate: Read more…
