Weekly Dua

CAIR – ALERT – Report of FBI Call and Visits

The New Jersey office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-NJ) said today that CAIR offices nationwide have been receiving an increasing number of reports of FBI agents, along with local law enforcement and Department of Homeland Security officers, visiting and interviewing American Muslims, particularly members of the Pakistani community.

New Law – Drivers Required To Come To Full-Stop At NJ Crosswalks

Beginning Thursday (April 1, 2010), it is no longer enough for drivers in New Jersey to yield at crosswalks. A new law now requires vehicles to come to a full-stop.
Safety officials say the law, which was signed by former Gov. Jon S. Corzine in January, was in reaction to increased pedestrian fatalities. It also creates a “safe zone” for pedestrians and discourages them from jaywalking.

TSA Announces you Can Opt Out of ‘Body Scanners’ at U.S. Airports

After a series of meetings with interfaith leaders and advocacy organizations, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) last week agreed to make traveler compliance with the highly controversial “full body scanners” optional.
The welcome announcement came after a number of groups expressed concern over privacy and modesty issues, for themselves and their children, related to theadvanced image technology machines.
